While I have been a specialist in gender-affirming electrolysis and laser hair removal since 2003, I was actually raised in the field of electrology. I've had the absolute honor of watching my mother work with the transgender community since I was a baby (and that’s been a while, friends). She knew I was eager to teach and advocate and sent me out to conventions and medical offices starting in my junior year in high school, educating professionals in allied fields about our mutual goals in providing gender-affirming care.
